Safronia Perry

Safronia Perry has long been a champion and part of the leadership team for Greater Carlisle Heart & Soul, engaging local youth in storytelling and action against racial bullying in the schools. She is the Executive Director of Hope Station, a non‐profit that serves low‐income families in Carlisle. Running now for Carlisle Borough Council, Perry is a long‐standing member of the Carlisle community who strives to work diligently and earnestly for the people who reside in the place she calls home. She has been an active member of the community having served on several local boards, including Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties, Carlisle Victory Circle, and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women.

To this day, Safronia’s dedication to serving her community continues. In addition to her responsibilities as the Executive Director of Hope Station, she serves as a board member for Leadership Cumberland, Carlisle CAN, Dickenson College Learning and Action. She formerly served on the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission Advisory Council and Inter‐Task Force and as a Commissioner for the Carlisle Human Relations Commission. Perry’s education includes a BS in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. Her professional development includes furthering her edification in Humanities at Messiah College and graduating in 2018 from Leadership Cumberland.
