From 2013‐2014, Erin was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, during which time she served on the following committees: Education, Consumer Affairs and Human Services. She also served on the PA House’s bipartisan and bicameral Equality Caucus, the Women’s Health Caucus and co‐chaired the Life Sciences Caucus. During her tenure, she introduced several pieces of legislation, including a patient’s rights bill, known as the Physician Disclosure Act, and a House Resolution, urging a public hearing of the Public Utility Commission (PUC) to better understand transportation needs and calling for the issuance of Experimental Licenses for ride‐share companies. She was an outspoken advocate for Act 89, Pennsylvania’s Transportation Infrastructure bill, which passed in 2014, and she is most proud of introducing the Pay Equity Act (HB 1890), which called for equal pay for equal work.
Most recently, Erin served as Legislative Director at the Pennsylvania Department of Health and was previously appointed by Governor Wolf to serve as the director of the Southwest Regional Office representing 16 counties. She also served in leadership roles in the One Young World Pittsburgh Partnership, Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project, Coro Center for Civic Leadership and Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania. Erin currently serves as a Senior Advisor of Government Relations at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.
