Biography

Dr. Catherine Kerrison is the author of Jefferson's Daughters (forthcoming, Ballantine Books) and of Claiming the Pen: Women and Intellectual Life in the Early American South (Cornell 2006), which won the History of Education Society's Best Book award for 2006. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in colonial and revolutionary America, American women's history, and history of sexuality at Villanova University, where she is an associate professor.
