Brujo De la Mancha

Biography

Born in Mexico City, a multidisciplinary, self-taught artist, Brujo came from a family that included both Spanish and Mexican Indigenous ancestry. In his childhood, during visits to his fathers family around Xico, Veracruz in Mexico, he experienced the surviving indigenous and Catholic cultures, that represent and express the life of the indigenous Mexican people. His paternal grandmother migrated from Xico, to Mexico city before he was born, and he has continued this family experience migrating to Philadelphia in 1998.
