Biography
Dr. Allen is a graduate of Bucknell University with major concentrations in American Studies and Philosophy; he also holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy from Penn State. He has devoted over 15 years of research time to exploring the history of Negro League Baseball, as director of the Souls of Black Baseball project which has amassed nearly 400 hours of videotaped oral history interviews with players and participants of the black leagues.
